Fall Programs

High School rowing is made up of high school students grades 9-12 who either attend Coventry High School or attend other neighboring schools. 8th-graders with prior rowing experience may be considered (email coach@coventrylakerowing.com)

CLCR High School Crew Club: This is a club season and is open to both HS students and youth from surrounding towns.
Start date is Wednesday after Labor Day (Sept 7th)
Practices are Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 5-7:30PM

Competition schedule may change and only rowers who are "race ready" will be entered. All team mates are encouraged to attend as full team participation makes us much more competitive! Planned race schedule is and we may add one scrimmage pre Oct:

October 2: Head of the Riverfront, Hartford, CT
October 8: 13th Annual New England Junior & Master Championship Regatta

Fees for fall 2022 are dependent on racing fees and will be $150 for this season. Multi-children families are capped at $250.

Collegiate Competitive

Opportunities for collegiate rowers who are not affiliated with a college team may organize to row under the CLCR banner. Please email coach@coventrylakerowing.com to learn more.

Middle School Into (May LEARN 2 Row)

This program is designed for middle school students as an introduction to rowing as well as for students who have rowed before. 3 sessions once per week will start Tuesday May 24th at 5-6:30 pm with a 4th day rain date. Fee $30 for all 3 sessions.

Summer Programs

Youth (6th*, 7th-12th)

*6th graders are welcome to do privates and pending size/weight/ability may be added to group programming for best experience.

We offer a variety of youth programs in the summer catering to the first-timer as well as the seasoned athlete. Options include:

Youth Learn2, Privates and Semi-Privates – by appointment only $30 rowing lessons - email coach@coventrylakerowing.com

Youth Recreational – Starting after July 4th, 4 weeks of recreational rowing 2x per week $125/athlete

Advanced
- M & W 8:30-10 am
- T & Th 8:30-10 am
Novice: students will be put in sessions based on compatibility/rowing experience
- M & W 10-11:30 am Session A
- Tu & Th 10-11:30 am Session B

Sweep opportunities available by request and during regular programming

Collegiate

Summer rowing coordinating around youth and adult programs both sweep and sculling available. $125/athlete (group rates available, please inquire)

Adult

Adult Group Sweep/Scull Programs: No previous experience required. Morning & Evening times available starting May 20 to Memorial Day weekend. $30 per session or $175/month or $440 for the season. Dates and times are subject to change based on coaching staff.

Sculling Novice/Intermediate Group: W & Fr 7-8 am (experienced scullers would apply for Captain's Privileges but can join coached group sessions any time boats are available)
Sweep Novice: T & Th 6-7:30 pm
Sweep Intermediate/Advanced Wednesdays by appointment or join in on Tu, Th novice for instruction

Private and Learn-to Lessons: For those who are not sure they can fit a class into their schedule and want some flexibility or just want to try out rowing without committing to a class yet, our private and learn-to lessons may be a great choice and are by appointment only. $30/person per 1 hour session

Captain's Privileges: Recreational singles may start the May 20 - Oct. 15 pending temperatures/weather). Rowing privileges outside of structured class times. Must pass rowing evaluation. Varied levels of privileges from the recreational sculler to advanced. $175/month or $440 for full season
