Sandwiched in between UConn Men and UConn Women's rowing has its advantages... they teach you things when you are the little guy on the block. Like how to capitalize on their home scrimmages and borrow their race buoys. On April 30th, Coventry hosted Westford Rowing and Pioneer Valley Rowing for a morning of 1.5M races and 1M races for singles and novice. It was a great first race of the season for us and the weather held out despite threatening to be a washout. All teams hot seated either boats, rowers or coxswains and we multi-raced a few rowers as well. We offered events in 1x, 2x, quads and 4s.
